The Cheapest Dish in Grendeng
SD 4 was established in 2013, with the first branch located at the University of Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. SD 4 was operated by 5 employees, half of them do the delivery order and the other half serve the dine-in order. SD 4 successfully opened 5 branches, unfortunately, 3 of them closed because of some operation troubles. two last branches still survive now, the first branch at the University of Muhammadiyah Purwokerto and the fourth branch at Madrani Streets, North Purwokerto.
SD 4 is a college student's favorite restaurant. They sell cheap and delicious food which most college students need. They have some unique and cheap menus, also package menus such as package menu one, package menu two, and cheap package menu which consist of rice, mendoan, and sambal. Their best seller menu is crispy chicken rice. They also sell fried rice and kwetiau. Their sales were going down 80% because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, where all college students moved to online classes and did not go to campus for lectures. their sales started to go stable again in the last year.
In making the menu, SD 4 uses fresh ingredients every day. For vegetables and other cooking ingredients, buy at the market, while for chicken always order at your favourite place. Using fresh ingredients will affect the taste of each dish. Therefore SD 4, consistently uses fresh ingredients every day.
There's a menu that can be dine-in and take away. For taking away the menu will be using oil paper for the food and the drink using a plastic cup.
SD 4 shares brochures on campuses around their restaurant to promote their product. They do not do online promotions because they are no employees who can handle their accounts. To attract customers, SD 4 offers lower prices than other restaurants.
They accept delivery orders and dine-in, although they still try to fix the delivery order system so the customers do not have to wait for a long time. Besides that, SD 4 fixed the delivery order system to prevent complaints from customers that can lower their restaurant rates.
SD 4 receives orders via WhatsApp. First, the customer writes the order and their address through the WhatsApp number in the brochure. Then, the employee gives the total of their orders. After that, the restaurant prepares the order. When the order is ready, the employee will notify the customer that the order will be delivered. Employees immediately send orders to customers. After the order arrives, the customer pays the order to the employee.
